أَمْ تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ رَسُولَكُمْ كَمَا سُئِلَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ ۗ وَمَن يَتَبَدَّلِ ٱلْكُفْرَ بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ
کیا تم اپنے رسول سے یہی پوچھنا چاہتے ہو جو اس سے پہلے موسیٰ ﴿علیہ السلام﴾ سے پوچھا گیا تھا؟ (سنو) ایمان کو کفر سے بدلنے واﻻ سیدھی راه سے بھٹک جاتا ہے۔
Or do you intend to ask your Messenger as Moses was asked before? And whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنْهَا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ
اے ایمان والو! ایسی باتیں مت پوچھو کہ اگر تم پر ﻇاہر کر دی جائیں تو تمہیں ناگوار ہوں اور اگر تم زمانہٴ نزول قرآن میں ان باتوں کو پوچھو گے تو تم پر ﻇاہر کردی جائیں گی سواﻻت گزشتہ اللہ نے معاف کردیئے اور اللہ بڑی مغفرت واﻻ بڑے حلم واﻻ ہے۔
O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur’ān is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allāh has pardoned it [i.e., that which is past]; and Allāh is Forgiving and Forbearing.
