لَّا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا مَّخْذُولًا
اللہ کے ساتھ کسی اور کو معبود نہ ٹھہرا کہ آخرش تو برے حالوں بےکس ہو کر بیٹھ رہے گا.
Do not make [as equal] with Allāh another deity and [thereby] become censured and forsaken.
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُولَةً إِلَىٰ عُنُقِكَ وَلَا تَبْسُطْهَا كُلَّ ٱلْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُومًا مَّحْسُورًا
اپنا ہاتھ اپنی گردن سے بندھا ہوا نہ رکھ اور نہ اسے بالکل ہی کھول دے کہ پھر ملامت کیا ہوا درمانده بیٹھ جائے.
And do not make your hand [as] chained to your neck or extend it completely and [thereby] become blamed and insolvent.
ذَٰلِكَ مِمَّآ أَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ رَبُّكَ مِنَ ٱلْحِكْمَةِ ۗ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتُلْقَىٰ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَلُومًا مَّدْحُورًا
یہ بھی منجملہ اس وحی کے ہے جو تیری جانب تیرے رب نے حکمت سے اتاری ہے تو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی اور کو معبود نہ بنانا کہ ملامت خورده اور راندہٴ درگاه ہو کر دوزخ میں ڈال دیا جائے.
That is from what your Lord has revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], of wisdom. And, [O mankind], do not make [as equal] with Allāh another deity, lest you be thrown into Hell, blamed and banished.
وَٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَٰنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِى قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
اور (ان کے لیے) جو ان کے بعد آئیں جو کہیں گے کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار ہمیں بخش دے اور ہمارے ان بھائیوں کو بھی جو ہم سے پہلے ایمان ﻻچکے ہیں اور ایمان داروں کی طرف سے ہمارے دل میں کینہ (اور دشمنی) نہ ڈال، اے ہمارے رب بیشک تو شفقت ومہربانی کرنے واﻻ ہے.
And [there is a share for] those who come after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."
