وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا ثُمَّ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
اور جس دن ہم ہر امت میں سے گواه کھڑا کریں گے پھر کافروں کو نہ اجازت دی جائے گی اور نہ ان سے توبہ کرنے کو کہا جائے گا.
And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect from every nation a witness [i.e., their prophet]. Then it will not be permitted to the disbelievers [to apologize or make excuses], nor will they be asked to appease [Allāh].
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
پس اس دن ﻇالموں کو ان کا عذر بہانہ کچھ کام نہ آئے گا اور نہ ان سے توبہ اور عمل طلب کیا جائے گا.
So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [Allāh].
ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
یہ اس لیے ہے کہ تم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کی آیتوں کی ہنسی اڑائی تھی اور دنیا کی زندگی نے تمہیں دھوکے میں ڈال رکھا تھا، پس آج کے دن نہ تو یہ (دوزخ) سے نکالے جائیں گے اور نہ ان سے عذر و معذرت قبول کیا جائے گا.
That is because you took the verses of Allāh in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allāh].
